The Loop’s official starter this year was Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Park Superintendant Jeff Main. Jeff composed an original Leatherman song before the 2012 Loop and has performed it in limited engagements before the 2018 Loop. He sang all three verses and sent the runners off with “and now it’s time to RUN” at the end of the song. (photo by Rob Cummings)
The pre-run crew of the Leatherman Harriers takes a well deserved break after not only checking the course at 6:30am but also running it with the rest of the 1,360 runners at 9am.
